New Comic: Xeno’s Philosophy Comics: Socrates Stinks

We have a bonus comic for you.

They are under the page “Xeno’s Philosophy Comics” above.  There’s a thumbnail of each comic that you can click on to bring up the comic itself or you can click on the link for the image next to the Comic #.

We’re calling these Xeno’s Philosophy Comics.  They’re drawn by Xeno, who can’t draw very well.  The nerd humor is still there, though, so rest easy.  I can’t guarantee a regular update for those.

We will continue to provide you with your Monday/Wednesday/Friday fix of Vlad the Vegan that you’ve come to know and love.  These are just an added dose of nerdom to waste some time.

Also, as you may or may not notice, on the left hand side of the page is the Categories list.  We’ve added a sketchbook section there where you can find doodles and drawings for Vlad.  We’re hoping to get some wallpapers, etc. done as well.

Anyway.  Xeno’s Philosophy Comic.  Socrates Stinks.  Enjoy!

New Xeno Philosophy Comic: Pascal’s Wager

There’s a new Xeno comic up today.  It’s about Pascal’s Wager.

Pascal’s Wager is a classic argument for faith, but is more or less delivered tongue-in-cheek.  It argues that one should go ahead and have faith because if one is right and God exists, one is rewarded and if one is wrong and God doesn’t exist, one doesn’t lose anything.  Easily debunked on a couple of levels, but presented for you here in a reductio ad absurdum fashion.

Anyway, that’s Thursday’s Xeno comic.  We should have a new one next Tuesday.  We’ll see how long we can keep up this Tuesday/Thursday Xeno comic thing.

Your regular Vlad M/W/F will continue uninterrupted.  Have faith, the weekend’s almost here.

New Xeno’s Philosophy Comic: The Wolfman

There’s a new Xeno comic today.  It’s called the Wolfman.

Regular Vlad comics return tomorrow.  Need coffee….

New Xeno’s Philosophy Comic: Marx the Well Fed Communist

Today’s Xeno comic is about Marx.

Funny story about Marx.  I went to see his grave in Highgate Cemetary in northern London.  To see the grave of the father of communism, you had to pay an admission fee of two pounds.  How’s that for irony?  And they told me when I went in that you weren’t allowed to take any photos of the grave.

Anyhow, my friends and I walked over, found the grave, and were taken aback.  The monument there is huge, easily twelve feet high, with a giant bust of Marx that reminds one of the busts of Constantine, etc.  Anyway, we’re standing there and thinking, “Wow, the father of socialism, world renowned revolutionary leader, and we’re not supposed to take any photos of his grave.”

We took our photo in front of his grave.

New Xeno’s Philosophy Comic: Science-Be-Damned

New Xeno comic today about the election.  4 weeks to go.  It’s called Science-Be-Damned.

There was a report on the Huffington Post that stated that Sarah Palin thought dinosaurs and people coexisted.

We here at Vlad, of course, support such a view, as is evident in our presidential ticket that we’re supporting: Hell Jones/Raptors with Lasers ‘08.

New Vlad comic tomorrow.
