The Art of the Run-On Sentence

I’ve watched this three times now and I still don’t know what she’s saying.

Update:

Fareed Zakaria has the whole exchange on the Newsweek site:

COURIC: Why isn’t it better, Governor Palin, to spend $700 billion helping middle-class families who are struggling with health care, housing, gas and groceries; allow them to spend more and put more money into the economy instead of helping these big financial institutions that played a role in creating this mess?

PALIN: That’s why I say I, like every American I’m speaking with, were ill about this position that we have been put in where it is the taxpayers looking to bail out. But ultimately, what the bailout does is help those who are concerned about the health-care reform that is needed to help shore up our economy, helping the—it’s got to be all about job creation, too, shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So health-care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americans. And trade, we’ve got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive, scary thing. But one in five jobs being created in the trade sector today, we’ve got to look at that as more opportunity. All those things under the umbrella of job creation. This bailout is a part of that.

My favorite part?  “I…were ill”.  Me be educate.

New Xeno’s Philosophy Comic: Science-Be-Damned

New Xeno comic today about the election.  4 weeks to go.  It’s called Science-Be-Damned.

There was a report on the Huffington Post that stated that Sarah Palin thought dinosaurs and people coexisted.

We here at Vlad, of course, support such a view, as is evident in our presidential ticket that we’re supporting: Hell Jones/Raptors with Lasers ‘08.

New Vlad comic tomorrow.

Raptors with Lasers

I think the only thing that would make it cooler is if she morphed into a Raptor with a Laser at the end of it.

You Can Keep The “Change”

Saw a Palin 2012 bumper sticker today. Simple blue logo on the bottom, with Palin 2012 in white.  Above it, in yellow, was written:  You can keep the “change”.

I don’t get it.  Is it a parody?  Is it real?  If the slogan is ‘You can keep the “change”.’, wouldn’t that imply that by running she’s going to lose, thus keeping Obama, i.e. the change, in office?

When did the world become so damn post-modern?
