I think the only thing that would make it cooler is if she morphed into a Raptor with a Laser at the end of it.

I just saw Tom DeLay on Hardball.

Couple of thoughts:

1)  He’s not in jail?  I thought he was in jail.

2)  Tom said the standard Republican nonsense about how if Obama’s not a Marxist then he [DeLay] doesn’t know what Marxism is.  I’m pretty sure the second half of that statement is true.

I mean, seriously, can you picture DeLay struggling late at night over Das Kapital?

Does this look like a man who’s read Karl Marx?

You can say a lot of mean things about Tom DeLay, and probably should, but I don’t think you can accuse the man of ever having any deep thoughts.  I’m just saying he’s not firing on all six cylinders.

3)  When did being associated with someone mean that you believe all the same things as they do?  Did I miss a meeting?

OK, I really will shut up about this and talk about movies, but it’s still bothering me and we’ve got 6 more days to go.  Anyway…

Why hasn’t anyone called McCain on this “I’ve been tested and Obama’s not” BS?   When was McCain ever the head of the executive branch?  Isn’t that what he’s running for?

So–if neither of them has been president, then neither of them can make the argument that they’re tested and good to go.  You’re kind of taking a chance with either of them, just as you would with anyone who’s not an incumbent.  And I hate to mention it, but Bush was tested, and they reelected him, and then Hurricane Katrina happened.  So it’s not like anything’s a sure thing.

That’s why I’m voting for…

Hell Jones/Raptors with Lasers ‘08

He’s a demon archeologist with a gigantic red right hand who fights Nazis and has a horrific fear of squid. (Absolutely nothing like a cross between Indiana Jones and Hellboy–I take offense even at the suggestion!)

They’re raptors with lasers strapped to their foreheads.  (Pretty straightforward, I think)

They’re going to shake up Washington and do away with politics as usual.  This fall–politics as unusual!
