If they were a “warrior” religion and lost, then they couldn’t have been very good warriors.
This sort of stuff always seemed interesting to me. I probably just need to sit down and write the Great American Novel(tm) about a group of secret Mithraics who are still practicing the religion. Dan Brown managed to sell millions of books on the shocking (yawn) accusation that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married. Surely something about Mithras would sell as well. Am I right? No? OK.
Also, I saw a couple of weeks ago about a group of Greeks called Ellinais who are pushing to make the old Greek gods a recognized religion in Greece, so they can get married according to their rights. That’s awesome. I don’t see anything wrong in worshipping Dionysus.
“Listen. Just got off the line with your god… He wants you to drink more.”
“OK! Will do! His will be done!”
“And dance.”
“Has he seen my dancing? It ain’t pretty.”
“His vision’s a little blurry from all the drinking.”
“Then let’s dance! Thanks Dionysus!”
I could see this catching on at college campuses. If your religion requires you to take part in drunken revelries, then you’ve got a first amendment right to underage drinking. Game, set, match.
Enjoy your weekend. More Vlad on Monday.

Your comments were far more greater that the comic strip haha. Religion is always a delicate topic… It sadly is.
