Frightened Rabbit have a Daytrotter session up from last week. Go and have yourself a listen. I’m trying to think who they would be comparable to. Probably U2 or Coldplay, but not in the bad way (God help me if I get “Fix You” stuck in my head….). I guess you’d describe them as U2 before they sucked (lots of reverb-laden guitar and driving drums).
Anyway, their latest album, The Midnight Organ Fight, was pretty darned good. And, in particular, “Head Rolls Off” was great. Luckily enough, it’s on Youtube. Here you go:
Also, only seven more weeks to go with the US election. I’m reminded of that great Jack Nicholson quote from Batman: “This town needs an enema.” I’m ready for it to be over.
