The Lilac Time

Is this a webcomic about a vegan vampire or is this a Pelle Carlberg fansite?   Or is this the world’s first Pelle Carlberg webcomic vampirism website?  Could be.

In any case, most of Pelle’s new album, The Lilac Time, is currently streaming over at Labrador’s website .

I will be taking a listen later this afternoon.  Sounds pretty good from what I’ve heard so far, and they have his song 1983 available for download.

Rock!

Update:

OK, so, I badmouthed Last FM.  But they’ve also got The Lilac Time available for streaming .

A Swedish Pop Afternoon

It’s not a bad afternoon.

Listening to the Pelle, and via a game of six degrees of separation, have remembered Cinnamon, a Swedish pop band with a female vocalist.  They’re labelmates of Pelle’s and I’ve only ever heard their song "Maybe in the Next Life".  But it’s a great song, in any case.

Here’s a link to it on Last FM .  I really don’t like the set up of that site.  Would it kill them to add a pause button?

I dunno, maybe we’ll be looking at Pandora or one of those sites next.

Highlights from The Lilac Time

OK–

So–just listened to the whole thing.

Highlights from the first listen:

* 1983

* Nicknames

* Animal Lovers

* Fly Me to the Moon (A Ryanair smack-down song?  That’s impressive.  And I’ve flown Ryanair–it’s not pleasant.  We thought our pilot was drunk.  On the other hand, it was cheap….)

It’s pretty much everything you expect from a Pelle album.  It’s poppy, it’s witty, it’s damned good.
